Welcome back and happy Tuesday! What a week we had last week. It was great to have my parents in town helping us celebrate Justin for graduation, plus basketball started up again for Brandon, it got really hot really quick and then really windy for a bit, and school officially ended so we are ready to let the summer fun begin.
Here's a look at last week's pictures:
This evening was the first summer league basketball game for Brandon and his team did well. Justin also worked on decorating his cap and helped a friend decorate one too.
This morning Justin and his fellow Bridgeway Island K-8 classmates returned to their first school for a "Grad Walk" to help inspire the younger kids. That was fun to see, and I think the past teachers loved it even more seeing how the kids have grown and being proud of who they have become. In the afternoon my parents flew in from Texas to stay for a bit, and as a graduation present they gave Justin a family-heirloom pocket-watch that belonged to his great-great-great grandfather. Justin was honored and thrilled to receive such a priceless gift.
Today is Graduation Day! In the blink of an eye he went from per-school graduation to high school graduation. The ceremony was held at Raley Field where the River Cats play minor league baseball and it was HOT but great to experience. Congratulation Justin!
Two down and one to go.

Day 157- Thursday, 6/6/19
To help with the heat the wind picked up and made for a super breezy day. It's annoying to be out in it but we need it to help drop the temperature.
Day 158- Friday, 6/7/19
We're prepping for a party tomorrow so Justin and I made cupcakes while my dad and Brandon taste tested. These two could barely wait until they were iced before trying them out. My parents are also impressed with how much this kid has grown since they last saw him and predict that he still has a few more inches to go. We'll see!
Day 159- Saturday, 6/8/19
Another full day! I took Brandon to a basketball tournament first thing in the morning. He had 3 games but I could only stay for the 1st since we also had a party to throw. Thankfully his coach was able to bring him home later. Justin's graduation party started late afternoon and he had a lot of nice school friends drop by along with family friends who have been there through the years to watch him grow into a young adult. Good food, good company, and good fun!
Day 160- Sunday, 6/9/19
After a morning bath for the dog we could all just chill and end the week quietly. Cheers to that!
All done! See you next week after my trip to LA to pick up Tyler. Yay! Can't wait.
Congrats Justin!!! Looks like a great week of celebrating!
