Week 1

Hello!  Time to start another year full of pictures hopefully all of great things to come.

Here are the first pictures in this first short week of 2025:

Day 1- Wednesday, 1/1/25

Happy New Year!  This was our first group picture taken in 2025 right after ringing in the new year and right before going to bed.  LOL!  Later we had a mellow and relaxing day that ending with a nice dinner complete with a cake Justin and I made.

Day 2- Thursday, 1/2/25

Here are a few gifts I got for Christmas that I'm looking forward to trying in 2025.  Otherwise, today was a nice sunny day so I took Bailey for walk to a local pond she's never been to before.  The timing was perfect right near sunset so it was very pretty out and Bailey liked watching the ducks in the pond..

Day 3- Friday, 1/3/25

When Bailey sleeps very soundly Rusty has gotten brave enough to feel comfortable joining us in the family room area.  This is the first time in a long time where he actually came this close and just chilled for a good bit.  We were watching a new series called the Tourist set in Australia.

Day 4- Saturday, 1/4/25

Umm- a chocolate orange I ordered from Amazon that I just opened had a piece missing and super old looking chocolate that had turned.  Seems like it was a return that just got shipped right back out to me so I returned it as well.  Yuck!  This afternoon we had another puppy group walk on campus.  This time it was through the arboretum and I was able to get Justin to join us.  Back at home while waiting for dinner the boys were playing catch the ball in the air with Bailey and she's quite good at it.

 

Day 5- Sunday, 1/5/25

I made pancakes and sausage for brunch which we all enjoyed just before taking Brandon to the airport.  It was nice having him for 2 whole weeks but now we won't see him again until spring break in a few months.  At least I know he's happy where he'll be and thriving at work and school.  Later I noticed that the bully stick Bailey got as a treat tonight was shaped like heart on one end.  How sweet it that?!--never seen one like it before.  It is a great sign to see as we end our first week in 2025.
