Hello and welcome back. We had some nice cool days this past week to give us a slight break and allow us the freedom to do more things outside. It was also the start of a new month which will hopefully bring new adventures and more fun.
Here are last week's pictures:
Day 211- Monday, 7/29/24
Bailey and I enjoyed a nice cool walk in the park this afternoon. It was very peaceful and we could feel a gentle breeze picking up which will continue through the night to help make tomorrow even more pleasant and I'm all for that. Later Justin and I tried this State Fair gold medal winner of a wine. Our local Nugget market displays and sells all the winning wines which we look forward to trying each year. How fitting that this one also just so happened to have a similar tree on it's label than the one in my park picture.
Day 212- Tuesday, 7/30/24
This morning as I was taking Bailey out to her dog yard I noticed the pretty wispy clouds in the sky and just as I was snapping a picture a gaggle of geese flew by making all kinds of noise. Love that they made it into my shot. Later in the afternoon Justin shot this picture of Rusty waking from a nap--too cute!
Day 213- Wednesday, 7/31/24
Happy 20th birthday to our youngest! We are officially a family with no more teenagers. Brandon is now back in LA doing more training for his campus job and prepping to start his 3rd year in college. Where does the time go?
Welcome to August which is expected to be just as hot if not hotter than July but at least we're easing into it for the current week. These pets--Justin got another good picture of Rusty this time mid yawn (LOL), and I snapped one of Bailey's top-line to show how wavy her coat has turned over the past month. She gets comments about it all the time, that and her dark rich chocolate color.
TGIF! It was another super busy work week. I'll be glad when summer is over and school starts again so the projects will slow down a bit. Otherwise in Bailey's world another toy bites the dust. She's going through them fast these day, but better them than the furniture. Later we had people over and she is doing much better with her socialization although she still barks at visitors upon arrival. Hopefully, as we continue to work on that, it will fade.
Day 216- Saturday, 8/3/24
Justin helped me run some errands today and we got caught up on house cleaning since it was a good day to have the windows open and air the place out. We didn't get a chance to watch a movie last night so tonight we settled in for a scary one that just started streaming. It had some good spook factor but left me with a few questions at the end.
Day 217- Sunday, 8/4/24
The temps are rising again and next week we'll back in triple digits. My PG&E bill is taking a huge hit with all this heat--$740 for month of July! It doesn't help that they keep raising rates especially in peak hours which just so happen to be the hottest times of the day. Anyway, this is my go-to cool lunch in the summer which is light and refreshing. At least in the evening there was a decent breeze that allowed us to go on our walk and the grass in the park has these pretty pink clover flowers growing throughout that are eye catching and give off great summer vibes. We all enjoyed this one week of being able to be outside more and hoping for more to come soon.
Thanks for stopping by. See you next week as plug on through the new month
