Here we are at Tuesday again. It feels like a Monday though just coming off a 3-day weekend. At least we were able to relax and have fun over the short break. Now it's time to start a new work week still understaffed but with no more high school basketball so I get my afternoons and evenings back which is a wonderful thing. I'm looking forward to using the extra time to focus on restarting my fitness routine so I can tone up and slim down for the warmer months.
Here's a look at last week's pictures:
It was a breezy day and colder than it's been in awhile so we bundled up for our evening walk. At least the sun was shining and helped add a bit of warmth. We also saw a bunch of dandelion flowers which I know are weeds but I love seeing the pop of yellow against the green grass.
Day 42- Tuesday, 2/11/20
All month I've been looking for my heart wreath and finally found it today so after work before heading to a snack bar shift I took some fun pictures of the pets that I can send to the college kids Friday for Valentine's Day.
Day 43- Wednesday, 2/12/20
Tonight is the last home basketball game and thankfully we won by a lot so in the end everyone got to play.
We have a pretty red flower blooming in the back just in time for Valentine's Day so I captured it before heading out to travel for the very last basketball game of the season. That's it folks! We're all very ready for this to end. Sadly we got creamed (look at the score) but this also meant that everyone played again so it started out as the worst game but then ended as the best game where the bench kids got to shine.
Happy Valentine's Day! It was nice for it to be on a Friday and we celebrated at home with a yummy dessert that Brandon helped make. He baked the brownies and I pulled it all together for that wow factor. Thank you John for the beautiful flowers and great wine!
Day 46- Saturday, 2/15/20
Since we knew yesterday would be a crazy night to go out we decided to have our Valentine dinner and a movie tonight. We ate the Zinfandel Grille and the watched a romantic love story.
In between chores I hung out in our home office working on my new laptop (a much needed birthday gift) to get my blog updated and ready for today's post. I try to always get that mostly done on Sundays and finished up by Monday night. While I was there Rusty decided that my lap would be a great place for him to try and nap. Looking ahead we're all happy tomorrow is a holiday. Three day weekends are the best.
That's it! See you next week as we adjust to life after basketball which will be a welcomed adjustment for sure.
Great week! So fun the bench crew got to play some!
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine's Day desert looks amazing!
Great week! We have had games like that with such a lopsided score, but it does have a silver lining where more kids get to play. Looks like a yummy Valentine's day!
