Week 13

Welcome back and happy Tuesday!  My new routine is to call in and check for updates on John during the week so I can still work and take care of things at home while visiting him on Saturdays.  He has a whole team of friends in the city that will take turns visiting during the week which gives me great comfort that he is never completely alone.  I'm not sure what we would do without them.

Here are week 13's pictures:

Day 87- Monday, 3/28/22

Finally some decent rain!  Everything is so thirsty around here and it's not windy so I didn't even mind being out in it.

Day 88- Tuesday, 3/29/22

Time to load the dog up and take her in for her vaccines.  She needs the rabies one so we can renew her license.

Day 89- Wednesday, 3/30/22

Wednesday at work I'm trying some new slides out and then while feeding my cultures one of the drops of media spread out in the shape of a heart. 💗  I'm actually happy to be able to work as a distraction to keep my mind from thinking too much about the what-ifs?  Everyone here is also so supportive and understanding if I ever need to drop everything and leave at a moments notice.

Day 90- Thursday, 3/31/22

Happy 21st Birthday Justin!  He wanted a German chocolate cake for his birthday this year and everyone was happy to try something new. The picture was taken a couple weeks ago but belongs here. Also today, while out running, errands I was happy to see the goats are back and love that our city uses them in open fields to control the vegetation.

Day 91- Friday, 4/1/22

TGIF and welcome to April!  Brandon posed with Bella and the monthly marker since she is turning 13 this month.  On my Friday night watch list I binge-watched this true-crime series on hulu and so remember when this was out in the news years ago.

Day 92- Saturday, 4/2/22

Brandon came into San Francisco with me today so we could visit John.  It's the first time he's seen his dad since he's been hospitalized so he was a little nervous but did great.  He was also excited to ride the ferry and be in the city since he hasn't been since middle school.  Not too much has changed with John except that he is awake a bit tracking movement with his eyes and sometimes responding to question with eye-blinks but drifts in and out of sleep a lot.

Day 93- Sunday, 4/3/22

Only a couple weeks before Easter so time to break out a few decorations and prep for that.  I also spied this yellow rose in the front yard today.  Love its rich spring color that pops against the green.

That's it.  I'll check in again next week.
