Week 3

Here is the action packed Week 3:

Day 19- Monday, 1/19/26

These guys--we'll miss them over the next 2-3 days as we head up to the mountains for my birthday ski trip.  Tyler will feed and check in on Rusty and Bailey will be boarded.

Day 20- Tuesday, 1/20/26

Today was a travel day making the journey up to Northstar and settling into our hillside condo in the village.

Day 21- Wednesday, 1/21/26

Unfortunately none of the boys could make it this year and John is still unable to ski so it was only me, myself, and I on the slopes but that is ok!  I still had a great time and was able to take more pictures than I normally can when skiing with a group so I made the most of it.  Afterwards John and I had a lovely dinner and drinks together in the village.

Day 22- Thursday, 1/22/26

Today is my actual birthday.  We traveled back home from the mountains and reconnected with the pets.  Bailey seemed very happy where she stayed and Rusty was very happy to have us back.  After unpacking and freshening up we then went out for another very nice birthday dinner and then before bed I opened presents that my boys had sent--loving these animal lego sets!

Day 23 Friday, 1/23/26

I had the whole week off aside from Monday and I enjoyed this extra day at home by spending more time with the pets.  Rusty liked me playing fish with him and Bailey enjoyed a nice long walk on this sunny day. It was super sunny out but also super cold so Bailey and I were both bundled up in jackets which were not needed yesterday at all.  The weather right now cannot make up it's mind.

Day 24- Saturday, 1/24/26

Another great day for a long walk.  Still cold out but the sunshine feels good and the air is so fresh.  Back inside we started watching Season 4 of Industry this weekend.

Day 25- Sunday, 1/25/26

One more birthday celebration this time with Tyler and Lupe as they joined us for Sunday dinner.  You know it's going to be a good year when you are blessed with so many celebrations including good friends, family and cakes.  Thanks to all!

Moving on to the next week and finally a new month.

Week 2

I'm finally getting around to catching up again.  Unfortunately just after our rough start to the new year our new computer failed and it took awhile to get that sorted out and files recovered plus me getting used to windows 11 which I'm not a huge fan of.  Anyway, hoping to get the past few months posted in order.

For now, here is Week 2!

Day 12- Monday, 1/12/26

Nothing much is going on with John toady in the hospital as he waits for more tests so I worked a 1/2 day and then visited him after work before heading home to the the pets who understandably are extra clingy but also great support systems for me.

Day 13- Tuesday, 1/13/26

I 'm home working remote as I usually do on Tuesdays, but trying to work on my laptop with the dog which is something new and challenging since she's usually with John while I work in the office.  We managed though and it went much better after she settled down for a nap.  John finally got his final scan done it was determined that he does not need surgery so he can come home.  All this time while they have been trying to decide he's been on this liquid diet and is so ready now for real food.  Can't say I blame him!

Day 14- Wednesday, 1/14/26

He's back and super happy to be home especially since he's able to cook a real good meal to enjoy.

Day 15- Thursday, 1/15/26

Somebody is ready for her late afternoon walk and thankfully it is a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

Day 16- Friday, 1/16/26

Surprisingly this morning my commute was quite foggy which also made it super slow going but it did burn off just before noon.  Later, back at home, we were excited to finally start watching the new season of the Pitt together after missing the premiere while John was in the hospital.  Such a good show and great to have it back.

Day 17- Saturday, 1/17/26

A much needed dinner out with good friends wanting to celebrate an early birthday with me.  Cheers!

Day 18- Sunday, 1/18/26

The fog has finally cleared out of the valley and now we have the sun back making for a gorgeous day.  I also got a gorgeous plant I can put in the yard and a couple other gifts from our friends last night which was super nice of them. After lunch Bailey and I were able to join a fun Sunday dog training class.  It felt so good to be outside and interacting with the dog pack again.

Week 2 finally up and on to the next!
