Week 11

  Welcome to week 11 -

Day 75- Monday, 3/16/26

I love seeing all the pretty new baby leaves that look so green and happy right now. As for the dog, that does not look like a very comfortable position to lay in but she stayed draped like that was for quite some time so I guess it wasn't too bad after all.

Day 76- Tuesday, 3/17/26

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  There was even a rainbow out front when we turned the sprinklers on for the first time this year.  Later we celebrated with festive drinks.

Day 77- Wednesday, 3/18/26

The green keeps on giving. I found this patch of clover is our backyard woodchip area.  Otherwise a quiet and simple day ending with a a good episode of Survivor.

Day 78- Thursday, 3/19/26

Our heart-leaf tree is blooming and adding some good color to the yard.  The sun was super bright and warm today which made me crave some ice-cream for dessert. Yum!

Day 79- Friday, 3/20/26

I made some antigen slides at work this morning and was having a problem with the black coating on some of our newlt recieved slides not holding the liquid in the wells like they are supposed to so I had to take a picture to show the manufacturing company.  Back at home the local park's field was blooming with clusters of dandelions which made for a pretty and whimsical scene.

Day 80- Saturday, 3/21/26

Loving the longer days with the nice evenings we can enjoy outside.  We grilled burgers for dinner tonight and then started watching this new series on Netflix that was filmed at a private college not far from where we live.  One of our boys toured it and considered going there but the price tag was out of our reach.

Day 81- Sunday, 3/22/26

What a beautiful way to start the end another week with such a vibrant and colorful sunrise. Then we ended the day with a happy and playful pup winding down to get ready for her evenimg snuggle time.

Almost done with another month.  Too bad so many more to catch up on still.  I'm not giving up though.  All the pictures get taken each day it's just finding the time to get them on the computer and to the blog.

Week 10

Welcome to week 10 where we've started March with unusually warm and beautiful weather. Hmm- comes in like a lamb must mean it will go out like a lion.  Not sure I'll be happy about that in a few weeks.

Here's a peek at how we enjoyed this wonderful spring vibe:

Day 68- Monday, 3/9/26

It feels great to be out in the sun especially since it's not supper hot yet and following some gloomy days. All the plants and trees really love it too.

Day 69- Tuesday, 3/10/26

Rusty has developed quite a liking to this chair in our bedroom.  Most days when I haven't seen him for awhile I can usually find him here.  Later Bailey and I went into Davis again for another street walking dog class with her pack and it was a fun evening.  All the college students wondering around town really loved seeing our dog group.  I think it reminds them of their dogs back at home.

Day 70- Wednesday, 3/11/26

Yep-wearing shorts in early March and then Tyler got some black out curtains for his place to help keep it cool on his remote work days.  His cat, Fred, likes to supervise.

Day 71- Thursday, 3/12/26

This weather is perfect for playing in the yard.  Bailey loves running in the grass and catching frisbees.  Sadly in the summer it gets too hot to be out here although our trees are finally large enough to provide better evening shade which will helps.  I also was able to snap a picture of a pretty flower I spied on our neighborhood walk--such amazing colors and a pretty intricate center.

Day 72- Friday, 3/13/26

TGIF! We're starting our weekend with a refreshing Aperol spitz and mini pizzas while settling down to watch this great movie. It's really well done, has an amazing cast and some wonderful music. It's not all fun and games but true to life with ups and downs that is beautifully told. We laughed, we cried, we sang.

Day 73- Saturday, 3/14/26

Happy Pi Day!  John and I enjoyed some hand pies and Bailey got her toy pie filled with treats.

Day 74- Sunday, 3/15/26

This morning someone was patiently waiting for me to get my coffee sorted so we could go snuggle on the couch.  Can you spy her in the shadows?  Later this evening we started watching this new Paramount series that just dropped and can't wait to see more.

On to the next week and thanks for all still stopping by as I slowly play catch up.

Week 9

Welcome to week 9 which has a lot of spring goodness:

Day 61- Monday, 3/2/26

Rusty enjoys getting attention from me before I head off to work and he's particularly fond of a good head and ear rub.  That picture is a bit dark because it was before the sun was up but look at how nice and sunny the start to our week was outside later in the day--all kids of blue sky, sunshine and beutiful new laeves on trees.  We'll take it!

Day 62- Tuesday, 3/3/26

I got our festive wreath for the month hung up on the door today and then later we joined the dog training class for a walk around the city of Davis at night which the pups all enjoyed

Day 63- Wednesday, 3/4/26

Today some clouds moved in over night so we are starting with some darker skies.  Later we got to watch the start of Survivor Season 50!  So far we are thrilled that it's being changed up by what the fans want to see more of so there will be lot's of twists and unexpected turns.

Day 64- Thursday, 3/5/26

The way the natural light was hitting some produce we plan to use for dinner caught my eye.  Can you guess what they will be used for?  Bailey is not interest in that but she's super excited that I just refilled her treat jar.

Day 65- Friday, 3/6/26

It's a popular week for birthdays at work so let there be cake!  We celebrated my retired boss, my current boss and one of our grad students.  Back at home Bailey was all about a good afternoon nap.  So glad it's Friday and we have the weekend to relax.

Day 66- Saturday, 3/7/26

The nice thing about spring is that more and more plants come into bloom so you never know exactly what you'll see from day to day.   This side yard  area has really blossomed and brought a lot nice color to this part of the yard.  Back inside for the night we watch this new Netflix movie which was very interesting in term of how AI might work to change our judicial system in the future.

Day 67- Sunday, 3/8/26

There she is napping again after a good play session with some of her favorite toys.  It is a lazy Sunday kind of day, so why not?  At least we had enough motivation and energy to make a nice Sunday dinner and with nicer warmer weather we can grill again--Yum!

That wraps up the first full week in March.  Bring on more spring!  We're loving it.
