Welcome back an happy Tuesday!
Here are the pictures from week 43:
Day 293- Monday, 10/20/25
It's a bit chillier this week especially in the mornings but the afternoons are really nice and great for walks. Rusty is also seeking out my warm lap more and more as we head into cooler times.
Day 294- Tuesday, 10/14/25
Dog classes are now mostly in the dark so we've been using the lit barns more and will eventually be in a out building with heaters. Tonight was a double sized class with over 15 dogs so it required a lot of focus from the pups because of multiple distractions but that is a good thing since it's something they all need to work on. Bailey was exhausted after class and crashed on the couch right after we got home while John and I finished watching this series. A lot of layers and side stories going on in it..
Day 295- Wednesday, 10/15/25
The clouds moved in today but really just looked ominous--no rain yet. We are expecting some for the weekend though. Out on our afternoon walk I spied these lonely leaves growing through a cement wall. Nature is truly amazing. Love the color pop. 🍂
Day 296- Thursday, 10/16/25
There are even more great fall leaves on campus at work and I do enjoy getting out of the lab to see them when walking between buildings to drop samples off or pick some up. I also was gifted a few apples from a co-worker's tree. Everyone at work is so great about sharing the plentiful harvests and it's much appreciated since homegrown items taste way better than what you can get at the store. Back at home we started the 3rd season of the Diplomat which just started on Netflix.
Day 297- Friday, 10/17/25
Happy Friday! We had a foggy start today making it feel even more like fall. After I took the fog picture stepping just outside the back of our lab I realized I've never taken a picture of the lab from the outside looking in which is easy to do since we're on the ground floor and have huge windows. At times, when campus is busy and a lot of student are walking by, it feels like we're working inside a fishbowl and on display. Later our Friday night movie this evening was the latest Jurassic Park film with an all new cast of characters.
Day 298- Saturday, 10/18/25
This tree in our backyard has my favorite fall leaves because of the way the change colors in a striped vein-like pattern. They are just so unique. Today was the day the rain came and we also got to see a rainbow while walking during a break in the storm.
Day 299- Sunday, 10/19/25
It was another cold and rainy day so mostly spent inside. I was able to craft this pumpkin though inspired by a picture I saw online. We're supposed to decorate (not carve) a pumpkin to bring into work for a party so this will be the one I bring. Tonight it was breakfast sandwiches for dinner which was a nice warm comforting choice on this dreary. It also seemed like a fitting day for the new IT series to drop. We've been waiting all month for it. It's like the pre-story imaging how Steven King's IT all came to be. Episode 2 will be available on Halloween. So far so good.
That
wraps up another week.
